Aiko Beemsterboer

Aiko Mila Beemsterboer is a famous Dutch actress. She was born on 8 February 2003 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She completed the Gymnasium-plus course at Thomas Kempis College in Arnhem in 2021. She enrolled at the Amsterdam School of Drama, part of the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam in 2022. She played her first role in the feature film LEVE BOERENLIEFDE in 2013 when she was just nine years old. She is best known for the leading role of Bo in the film Vechtmeisje and the leading role of Anne Frank in the film My Best Friend Anne Frank. After a theatrical run, the film was released globally on Netflix and reached the 'second most watched film worldwide' in the first week.

In 2020, she was nominated for a Golden Calf for Best Supporting Actress in the film 'What Is Then Love'. FIGHT GIRL (VECHTMEISJE) received multiple awards, among which the 'Young Audience Award' at the European Film Awards in 2019, 'ECFA Award' at the BUFF International Film Festival, and the 'Audience Award' and 'Cinekid Film Award' at Cinekid. The film was well received by the Dutch press, with many positive notes on Aiko's powerful performance.
