Son Seok Koo is an actor, born on 7th February 1983 in South Korea. Son studied acting and drama during his graduation and started out his career as a professional theatre actor. After a successful start in theatre acting, Son jumped to on screen roles and made his debut in 2014 with Scarlett Innocence, a romantic thriller about an illegal affair between a professor and student. Son made a small cameo appearance in this flick.
In 2018, is when his career really took off, he starred in Mother, a drama series which is regarded as one of the best Korean TV has to offer, this is a thrilling story about a teacher, who kidnaps one of her students to save her from her abusive family, and goes on to raise the child as her own. The series along with Son Seok Koo, went on to win numerous awards and received worldwide acclaim.
The same year he was cast among one of the many other international superstars in Netflix’s sci-fi thriller Sense8. An amazingly thrilling tale of a group of people from all around the world are brought together due to a mental link between them, Son plays the role of Detective Mun on the show, and being one of the Korean representatives on the show his popularity grew exponentially after this. This role became quite a big one for his career. In 2019, another big role came for him in the series Designated Survivor: 60 Days.
