Seamus Patrick Dever is an American actor. He was born on July 27, 1976, in Flint, Michigan, the U.S. His family moved to BUllhead city, Arizona, when he was six. Dever graduated from Nothern Arizona University with an MFA degree. He is a permanent member of the Actors Studio. In 2006, he married Juliana Dever, an American actress, and travel blogger. He is the cousin of Canadian Singer/Songwriter Feist and Broadway actress Jeanne Arnold. He is known for his role as Detective Kevin Ryan in the popular ABC series Castle (2009 - 2016).
He made his television debut playing Lewis in the 1999 series Pensacola: Wing of Gold. Some of his notable performances are in She's No Angel (2001), Without a Trace (2003), Charmed (2005), CSI: NY (2006), CSI: Miami (2007), Mad Men (2008), Drop Dead Diva (2009), The Chase (2014), Legion (2018), Titans (2018), etc. He has also worked in many films like Monkey Love (2002), Hollywoodland (2006), Affairs in Order (2008), The Essence of the Deep (2008), Ready or not (2009), Sequestered (2014), The Extraordinary Farewell (2015), etc. He has also voiced video game characters like John Seed from Far Cry 5 and Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix.
