, Gregory was born to parents from Puerto Rican origins. Gregory did not attend any acting classes or film schools prior to joining the industry, he would often work on the sets of Hollywood and decided to give in auditions and for the sake of his talents, he was hired. He made his debut in 1969 in It Takes a Thief, a small mini-series where Gregory played the role of Fletcher. The TV series got a cult following and Gregory became famous through it.
He would go on to star in small and supporting roles in TV series like Mod Squad, Medical Center, The High Chaparral and The Flying Nun and in 1970 he made his debut on the big screen in Beneath The Planet of The Apes. The much-awaited sequel to the Planet of the Apes, this time the story follows an interplanetary voyager who lands himself in an underground city ruled by Apes. Since then, Gregory went on to star in numerous films like Vampires, The Towering Inferno, A Low Down Dirty Shame and many more memorable roles.
