Sahana Bajpaie

Sahana Bajpai was born on 6 February. She is an Indian singer-songwriter and a contemporary Rabindra Sangeet vocalist in Bengali. Sahana Bajpai was born in Santiniketan, and by the age of three, Sahana Bajpai started singing. Sahana Bajpai released her debut album Notun Kore Pabo Bole on 06 March 2007 from Bengal Music Company, Dhaka, Bangladesh, a Rabindra Sangeet collection. Sahana Bajpai's second album Shikawa, was released in 2014 with several musicians from West Bengal.

Sahana Bajpai’s second Rabindra Sangeet lonely song, Ja Bolo Tai Bolo, was published in September 2015. In 2012, Sahana Bajpai launched her first album in the Indian Bengali dream movie Tasher Desh, directed by Q. Alongside Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, Sahana Bajpai has written several songs. Since then, Sahana Bajpai has published two Rabindra Sangeet songs. Notun Kore Pabo Bole was her debut song, which contained representation and arrangement of Tagore songs. It is a contribution of twelve Rabindra Sangeet registered in the United Kingdom and India.

Guitarist Oliver Weeks, pianist Zoe Rahman, and her brother, breeze instrumentalist Idris Rahman, exhibit three songs. In 2013, the Bengali comedy film Hawa Bodol was directed by Parambrata Chakraborty. In 2001, Sahana Bajpai married her childhood friend Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, a Bengali singer, scriptwriter, and composer from Bangladesh.

Their relationship was no longer, and they divorced in 2008. She now lives in London, where she works as a senior associate professor in Bengali in the Department of the Languages and Society of South Asia at SOAS South Asia University. She is on leave to pursue her Ph.D. in ethnomusicology at King's University London. Then, she wedded Richard Herrett, and the couple had a daughter named Rohini.
