Haradhan Bandopadhyay is a Bengali actor; he worked in both television and films. He was born on 6th November 1926 in Kushtia, Bengal. He took primary education in Kushtia Municipal School in East Bengal (present Bangladesh). He graduated from City College, Kolkata. Later he worked in a factory named Gun & Shell; after that he started working at an insurance company and stayed there till his retirement.
He was involved in freedom struggle movement for which he was jailed for a while. Bandopadhyay started his acting career by doing plays. He made his debut with the film ‘Devdut’, released in 1948; Atanu Bandopadhyay directed the film. Later he worked with notable directors like
