Anasuya Samanta

Anasuya Samanta is a talented Bengali director, actress, and scriptwriter. She was born in Nadia, West Bengal. Anasuya completed her higher studies at Vidyasagar University. She is a degree holder of an M.Sc. in Botany. Anasuya is a talented actress with outstanding skills. She started working as an actor at a young age because of her interest in acting. Her dedication and love for acting and films made her pursue a career in the Indian entertainment industry and not in the field of Botany. Anasuya has been actively working in Bengali cinema since then. To showcase her directing skills, she directed the film Blood, a crime thriller released in 2008.

Blood was her debut movie as a director. After the success of her debut film, she created "Aalo Chhaya" in 2014. The movie Aalo Chhaya gave her a platform to showcase her writing skills. She is one of the writers of this movie alongside Sharat Chandra Chatterjee and Monojit Goswami. Anasuya is a multi-skilled artist. She is not only a talented director but a skilled actor as well. 2020 proved to be a lucky year for Anasuya. She directed multiple short films like Echo, The ordinary girl, Shower of Melancholy, and The Golden Boat.
