Manoj Michigan is a Bengali Film director, Screenwriter, and producer. He was born in 1967 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He completed his education at Indian School and later studied B.com, Economics from St. Xavier’s College. He did MBA in Marketing from IISWBM. He has directed 5 feature films and 2 short films. He is also the founding member and partner of PawPath, a diagnostic laboratory for animals. He worked for Arvind Brands as a Regional Manager before moving onto the film industry. Some of Manoj Michigan’s most well-known works include I Reborn (2019), Tritiya Adhyay (2019) and Aami Joy Chatterjee (2018). Tritiya Adhyay has its world premiere at Dubai’s Bengali film festival in November 2018.
He was also the producer for the psychological thriller film 89 (2015). He started his career by directing the film, Hello Kolkata, which was released in 2008. In 2013, he released Damadol, a comedy film which was a big success in the box office. He has won the REMI award for his movie ‘I Reborn’ in the category Best short Drama category at the 52nd Worldfest Houston International Film Festival. He also received Best Director Jury Award at 9th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival at New Delhi. He was awarded the best director award for Tritiya Adhyay at Dharbanga Film Festival.
