On September 21, 1998, Ganguly was born in Kolkata, West Bengal. He debuted with the film Rosogolla in 2018, directed by Pavel. His debut film gained him so much fame and recognition that he was on the list as one of the top ten actors of 2019. In 2019, Ujaan Ganguly was honored as the Best Debut Actor at the Tele Cine Awards at Baltimore's North American Conference Film Festival.

Ganguly went to the University of Jadavpur to study English Literature. When Ujaan Ganguly was in the 12th grade, he represented India at the Modern World Debate held at Dubai Modern High School. He secured 98.25% in Arts and received the Bishop of Calcutta Gold Medal. He was honored by the Times of India as Student of the Year. In 2016, he was honored with the Kalyan Bharti Trust Award for overall excellence at The Telegraph School Awards. Ganguly excelled in academics.

In 2019, he passed with distinction in English during his BA from the University of Jadavpur. In the Jadavpur University, he was honored with the Gold Medal and the Best All-Rounder Graduate, Student of the year from the same University. Ganguly; is now set to enroll for his master's degree at Oxford University. He has also worked in the National award-winning film; Nagarkirtan, wherein he was an assistant director. Ujjan acted in a movie titled Lokkhi Chele, directed by Kaushik Ganguly.
