Shiboprosad Mukherjee

Shiboprosad Mukherjee is a renowned Indian film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter. He was born on 20 May 1974 in Baranagar, Kolkata, West Bengal and attended Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School for his primary education. Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy-directed films have always been at the top of the chart. Some of the best projects by the director duo are Accident in 2012, Ramdhanu in 2014, Bela Sheshe in 2015, Praktan in 2016, Haami in 2018, Konttho in 2019, and Belashuru in 2022.

Praktan won several National Awards, and Konttho has selected Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards as the Indian entry. As director and producer, Shiboprosad Mukherjee has worked with all the leading Bengali Tv channels in India and Bangladesh. He has been a senior programming associate at ETV Bangla from 1999 to 2002. Shiboprosad also worked to conceptualise the first Bengali women's magazine program on television, Sreemoti and is known for designing almost 50 non-fiction shows. His films and shows received several awards, including Film Fare Award 2014 for Best Direction in Alik Sukh, Zee Cine Award 2016 and International Bengali film awards 2016 NABC for Best Film in Bela Sheshe, International Business Film Award 2016 for Highest Grossing Bengali Film: Praktan, and many more. Shiboprosad Mukherjee won Mahanayak Samman Awards 2016 for his contribution to films from the West Bengal Government.
