Humayun Faridi is a Bangladeshi actor who works primarily in Bengali films. He also appears in television series, movies, and plays. Faridi was born in Narinda, Dhaka, on May 29, 1952. He has four brothers and sisters. He received his early schooling at the Islamic Government School. He earned an organic chemistry degree from the University of Dhaka, but due to the conflict in 1971, he could not complete his studies. He enrolled at Jhangirnagar University to pursue an economics degree. He married Nazmun Ara Begum Minu. Some of his movies and shows are Doll's House, Shantrash, Bish Daat, etc. He received the Bangladeshi National Film Award for Best Actor in 2004. Faridi passed away on February 13th, 2012, due to chronic lung disease in Dhaka. He was posthumously honored with Ekushey Padak by the government of Bangladesh.
