Hasan Masood is a Bangladeshi actor who was born in 1968. He is also a former Journalist and a military officer. He was born in Barisal and was brought up in the city of Dhaka. He completed his SSC from BAF Shaheen School, Dhaka, and then completed his HSC from the Government Titumir College in Dhaka. He has been singing from an early age and completed 5 years course on Nazrul Sangeet from Chhayanaut. He joined the Bangladesh army in 1983 and he retired as a captain in 1992. Hasan Masood is an actor, who mainly works in the Bangladeshi film and television industry. He is also a former military officer and journalist. He was born on December 16, 1968. Hasan Masood’s place of birth is Barisal city in East Pakistan, Pakistan (now Bangladesh). He completed his Senior School Certificate (SSC) from BAF Shaheen College Dhaka also known as BAFSD or Dhaka Shaheen, Bangladesh. Afterward, he took his Higher School Certificate (HSC) from the Government Titumir College in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Hasan Masood started his career as a singer from an early age. He took a five-year course on Nazrul Sangeet or Nazrul Geeti from Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyatan, an institution devoted to Bengali culture. In 1983, he joined the Bangladesh Army. On December 21, 1984, he was commissioned from eleven BMA-long courses in the Corps of Infantry. In 1992, he retired as a captain. Then, he worked as a sports correspondent at “The New Nation.” Later, he worked as a sports correspondent at “The Daily Star” in 1995. From February 2004 to 2008, he was a correspondent for the World Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation in the Bengali affiliate.

Later, he acted in a political satire film, “Made in Bangladesh” by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki released in 2006. In the film, he played the role of ACP Bakul. He portrayed the role of Suraj Khan in a 2014 Bangladeshi romantic thriller film, “Taarkata,” written & directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz. He also acted in films such as Chotto Songshar (2011), Common Gender (2012), Souvage (2021), and Unish 20 (2022).
