Debashish Ganguly is a well-known face of the Indian film industry. He hails from Bengal. He worked mainly in the Tollywood film industry. He is a great actor. He has also written screenplays for his various dramas. He also writes dialogues. Debashish says that he inherited his interest in arts from his mother. His mother was a great singer. His father was not linked to culture and arts by any means. But he says that his father had a great personality. Acting was once only his hobby. His hobby changed into a profession gradually. He worked in a group play for the first time in 7th or 8th standard. The play was called Madhuchandrima. After doing many theatres, he turned to television dramas.

Other films he has worked in are Sathihara, Mrityughanta, and Bidhatar Lekha. His role of Johny Mama from Sathihara was one of his famous roles.
