Jeet Upendra

Jeet Upendra is a Malayalam and Hindi film actor. He was born in Mumbai and started his career as an actor in the year 1985. He got married to model-turned-actress, Deepika Nagpal Arora in 1997, but after having constant arguments, the couple had a divorce in 2007. They had two children namely Vedhika and Vivaan Upendra. When not acting, he is busy managing his hotel business. He started out doing direct-to-video films during the 80’s including Scandal, Shahadat, Jazira, Abhishek, Don 2 and Naqli Chehra. Subsequently, he started doing films and often does negative roles.

In the 1990s, Jeet acted in Danga Fasaad, Lakhi Durga Saraswati, Afsana Pyaar Ka, Humne Pyar Kiya, Baharon Ke Manzil and Panaah. He became more popular as Mammootty’s younger brother in Jayaraj’ Malayalam film entitled Johnnie Walker in 1992. He was seen in Maa Ki Mamta in 1995 and 1998; he acted in the Bollywood film, Miss 420, which stars Baba Sehgal.

In 2001, he was seen in Akshay Anand-movie Inteqam and the Bollywood film, Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe in 2002. In 2008, Jeet acted in Dharam’s crime film, Ishaara. He bagged the nomination for Best Actor in an awards function in 2014, for his performance in the Gujarati film, Suhaag, which was helmed by Hussain Bloch.
