Gangadharan Menon is one of the rarest people who has worked in several fields. He is a multitalented man who has worked as a School teacher, Journalist, Theatre actor, Theatre director, Film actor, Documentary filmmaker, and Copywriter. Gangadharan Menon was born on 29th September 1956 in a small village named Mannuthy in Kerala, India. In 1962, he moved to Mumbai with his family and completed his schooling at Adarsha Vidyalaya. In 1972, he got his Master’s degree in English literature from Ruia college.

After completing his master’s degree, he started working as a writer in the media industry. In 1979, he made a documentary named Silent Valley, which was based on the endangered forest. His documentary was seen by then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi, and the forest was declared a National Park. He has also authored a book named "Evergreen Leaves: Recollections of My Journeys Into Wild India."
