Super Singer is a reality music show telecasted on Vijay TV, Tamil. It is a reality singing competition, with the caption - ‘Thamizhagathin Brahmaanda Kuralukkana Thedal,’ which means, the hunt for Tamil Nadu’s greatest voice. The series was sponsored by Airtel network. The show premiered during the year 2006. The contestants for the show are selected through conducting auditions in various regions, who compete with each other in the show. The successful singers in the show are offered chances to sing in the movies and finalists are given prizes. The show was telecasted for five seasons.

The finalists appeared on the show are now very successful singers. The first season started on 28th April, 2006. After conducting auditions in various cities like Chennai and Coimbatore, the contestants are selected for the show by renowned singers and musicians like S. P.
