Pirivom Santhipom is a family melodrama telecasted on Vijay TV on weekdays from 7.30 to 8.30 PM. This series revolves around the family of Shanmugaraja and Dhanam. Jyothi is their beloved daughter who is a very active and fun loving girl, but she is often commented upon because of her dark complexion. Revathy is the daughter of Shanmugaraja’s sister who has lost her parents at young age and is raised by him. She is a very pretty girl and is loved by Shanmugaraja like his own daughter.Revathy and Jyothi are best friends and spend much time together.

Arunachalam is Shanmugaraja’s son who suffers a great loss in business. Abirami is a wealthy woman who comes across the beautiful Revathy and tries to marry her to Prabhu, her mentally retarded son. Due to the financial situation of her family and the ordeal of getting Jyothi married to Abirami’s younger brother Karthik, Revathy marries Prabhu. Her expectations turn to disappoinment when Karthik comes home with his girlfriend. This creates disruption between the relationship of Revathy and Shanmugaraja’s family.

The story takes an unexpected twist and turn which ends up in Jyothi’s marriage with Karthik, death of Shanmugaraja and Revathy accused of his death. Revathy endures the evil plans of Abirami and brings Prabhu back to normal life by her persistent effort and belief in him.
