Anuradha Krishnamoorthy is an Indian Carnatic singer turned actress. She did various roles in many Tamil films and television serials. Anuradha is the daughter of “Sangeetha Kalanidhi” Prof K.V.Narayana Swamy and Smt. Padma Narayanaswamy. She was a good singer and her family noticed her singing skills when she was just three years old. Anuradha and her father belong to Thyagaraja, a group of Carnatic music trinity composers. She grew up in an atmosphere of musicians, and her official tutelage started when she was 11 years old. Anuradha is the 8th generation musician in her family after her father K.V. Narayanaswamy. She was married to Suresh Krishnamurthi, a businessman based in Chennai.
She first learned music from her mother and subsequently, an advanced lesson from K.V. Narayanaswamy. She was also a scholar of FORD Foundation. She was instructed by Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. T. Viswanathan and Smt. T. Brinda. She is now under the tutelage of her mother and Radha Vishwanathan. She has received many awards for her singing skills and was even invited to perform at Brussels on August 15, 1999, by the Government of India. She also started a Carnatic music talent promotion Programme called “Ragam Sangeetham” which aired on Raj TV.
She has travelled almost all over the world including United States of America, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, Scotland, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, etc. She has several awards to her credit like, Best Junior Vocalist 1991 by “Narada Gana Sabha” Chennai. She also won D.K.Pattammal Award (1997 & 1999) by Music Academy, Chennai, Valarum Kalaignar Award 1998 by Tamil Isai Sangam Madurai, Yuva Kala Bharathi Award 1999 by Bharat Kalachar, Best Raga Alapana Award 1998 by the Indian Fine Arts Society, Best Vocalist award from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha Chennai, ‘A’ grade artist in All India Radio Chennai and the national television network Doordarshan Chennai’s “Yuva Kala Bharathi” Award, and Papanasam Sivan Centenary Award, Chennai. Anuradha is also a famous actress.

Then she did some popular television shows like the Tamil serials, Velaku Vetcha Nerathile on Kalaignar TV and Athipookal on Sun TV. Anuradha played the role of Sarojini Vishwanathan in the Tamil teleserial, Arase, a continuation of the TV series, Selvi on Sun TV. She was honored with many different awards for her outstanding performance in this serial. She received the “Best Character Actress Award” in the Mylapore Academy, “Best Actress” in the Film Fans Association Awards, “Best Character Actress Award” in the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and the Chinnathirai Awards. She was also part of the tTeleserial, Navavelli along with actress, Simran on Jaya TV and in Thiruppavai under the production of Abinaya Creations which was aired on Sun TV.
