Pattu Selai started airing on Puthuyugam TV on 8th February 2016. It aired every Monday to Friday at 7 pm, and the repeat telecast is at 1 pm.

Kanchana is a self-made businesswoman who owns a Pattu Saree showroom. Kanchana delivered twin daughters, but she missed them in an accident. Thinking that they died in the accident, she adopts a son, Ajay. Years passed, and Kanchana is successful in her business. She never wants any competitors. Thamarai, a young girl, buys sarees from Kanchana’s shop and sells them for credit in her village. Thamarai is a social activist, too. She fights for justice and doesn’t dare to oppose anyone, irrespective of their post. Ajay falls in love with Thamarai and wishes to marry her. Kanchana doesn’t like Thamarai. What will happen if Kanchana finds out that Thamarai is her daughter? The rest of the story deals with that.
