season 6 premiered on 21st October 2018 on Colors Super and Colors Kannada HD. It was the first season in Bigg Boss to feature a transgender contestant. The reality show's rule was that 20 people had to stay in a house for 100 days without contact with the outside world and impress audiences with their performance. They had to participate in and win assignments set by Bigg Boss and save themselves from being nominated.Â
Usually, only celebrities participated, but this season included commoners preferred by an audition process online through the Voot platform.Â
There were only 18 contestants initially, but two more people entered as a wild card entry later in the show. It started on 21st October 2018 and ended on 27th January 2019.Â
