Chalo Saaf Karein is a Hindi serial broadcast on the DD National channel. Palak wants to open a residential English medium school in her village. She has studied at Delhi University and has returned to her village to educate children. This village is full of loving and supportive people. Palak has a younger sister named Jhalak. She always inspires Palak to become something in life. Meanwhile, Badrinath, their father is a carefree man. He spends his whole day chatting, walking, watching wrestling on his village grounds, and eating. He also loves speaking in the English language. Rohan is Palak's love interest. He is an actor who works in the village plays. But Palak wants Rohan to leave this play job and find a real job.

The twist in this serial is that Palak sees Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi in her dream. But it feels as if he is right in front of her. Palak calls him Bapu. He advises her to rectify whatever she thinks is wrong in this village. Palak is angry that theRohan’s plays are so complicated that people donot understand anything from them. Bapu tells her that he is assigning her a task. Then he vanishes. When Palak wakes in the morning, she thinks it was a dream. But she finds Bapu's spectacles on her table. She wears them and visions start racing through her mind. These visions are of people spitting in public, throwing garbage on the road, the increased plastic increase, etc. Bapu sends Surekha, Palak's grandmother, to help her. He tells her to help keep the village clean. Whenever Palak is in some difficulty, she wears the spectacles and Bapu appears in front of her.

Her first task is to make the men of the village realize their responsibility towards household chores. Surekha organizes a meeting for all the women to make their husbands and fathers help them, rather than sitting and idling whole day long. They decide to sit on a protest for their rights. The women donot give any food to the men and leave the things as it is. The men are ordered by Surekha to clean their houses and teach them how to make food. Surekha also makes a video of these men cleaning and cooking and puts them in the internet. There are still some men who consider it a shame to do the household chores. This show gives a social and moral lesson in every episode.
