Rashami Desai is a well-known television actress, model, and dancer, and is famous for her role as Tapasya on Colors TV’s hit soap opera, ‘ Uttaran’. Born as Divya Desai on 4th August, 1986, in Nagaon, Assam, she studied in Ulubari High School and learnt the Kathak and Bharatnatyam styles of dance.

She began acting at an early age and was featured in many Bhojpuri films, including Pyar Jab Kehu Se Hoi Jala, Kab Hoi Gauna Hammar, Balma Bada Naadan, Bambai Ki Laila Chapra Ka Chaila, Tohse Pyar Ba, and Sathi Sanghati. She bagged herself the lead roles in Pari Hoon Main, and Uttaran, where she continues to leave her mark.
