This show revolves around the story of her attempt to be a god. Devi Chandi makes the powerful merchant of Ujaninagar, Dhanapati, fall in Love with her devotee, Khulna. Although Dhanapati falls in Love with her, he does not agree to worship Devi Chandi. Chandi then begins his revenge with Dhanapati and what follows is an epic grand journey of a fight between God and a devotee. The Mangal Chandi show talks about Devi Chandi and her devotee Khullana.

Devi Chandi wishes to have Dhanapati, a merchant from the upper echelons of Ujaninagar, be her devotee. But he is a heartfelt devotee of Lord Shiva. Devi Chandi intervenes to make him fall in Love with Khullana, so only her plan will be fruitful. But Dhanapati does not agree to worship Devi and earns her wrath by doing so. He faces material losses and ends up in prison. What happens next?
