The director of this show is Debashish Sarker. The production house is Black Magic. Haun Maun Khaun generally refers to a Bengali phrase related to ghosts. The general public is the judges, and artists from different fields like cinema, television, music, etc., participates. The audience can answer a simple question asked at the end of the episode to qualify as judges. The show’s set looks like a café, and it is called Halla Café with a lot of open space for performances and tables for the judges. On one side, there is a monster face. The contestant will exit through his mouth after the elimination. Initially, the contestants have to introduce themselves by rhyming about them.
The ultimate winner wins after passing the following rounds. In the first round, called Eli Aar Geli (meaning came and went off), the participants will do an extempore, and the judges will vote for them. The one with the least votes loses the round, and the person with the most votes will win the prize money. The second round, Family Jhameli, requires the competitors to do household chores on a table and answer a simple question simultaneously. After the voting, the winner will get the prize money. The next round, Love Loksaan, requires its participants to propose to someone in the show and the winner is elected according to the quality of the proposal. Generally, the one with the most funny proposal will win the prize money in this round. The fourth round is a talent round termed Baba, Ki Paris. In this round, the players might sing or dance according to their suitability to win the prize money.
The fifth and last round is the Challenger Round. Since this is quite difficult, the player with the maximum prize money can either play further or leave with whatever they have won. However, if they lose, they would have to go empty-handed. If the player chooses not to play, it becomes compulsory for the second player to play it. In this round, the player has to toss a table tennis ball on a bat and answer ten quiz questions. In the end, a large sum of money (including the sum won before) and a throne await for the winner to sit on. This show is popular since it has run more than 400 episodes.
