UyireUnakkaaha is a Tamil serial broadcast on the Colors Tamil channel. It is a Tamil adaptation of the Hindi serial KasamTerePyaar Ki broadcast on the Colors TV channel.This serial depicts the love story of TanushreeKhurana,aka Tanu, and Rishi Bedi. The first episode was released on 7 March 2016. There are total of 621 episodes of this serial. The story starts when Rishi and Tanu are kids. They were best friends, and their marriage was already fixed by their parents. They were destined to get married. But Rishi’s family moves to America. He returns after sixteen years. But Rishi does not remember Tanu.Tanu’s aunt Bani introduces her daughter Neha as Tanu. She wants to marry her daughter to Rishi. Tanu’s parents die in a terrorist attack.

But according to Rishi’s parent’s wishes, Rishi has to married to Tanu. So Rishi’s marriage gest fixed with the fake Tanu aka Neha. When Tanu finally meets Rishi, she introduces herself as Tanvi. But Rishi falls in love with Tanvi at first sight regardless of his fixation on marriage with Tanu. Tanu also plans on getting married to PawanMalhotra. But PawanMalhotra is already married and just plans on using Tanu as a surrogate. Rishi finds out this truth and tries his best to stop Tanu’s wedding. Finally, he ends up kidnapping Tanu to stop her wedding and Rishi and Tanu get married. But Neha’s boyfriend, Sandy, shoots Rishi. Tanu stands in front of Rishi to protect him and dies in this process. After Tanu’s death, Rishi also tries to take his life, but Tanu’s soul tells him not to. The serial leaps of twenty years. Rishi has left boxing, and is living his life as a cut-throat businessman.

Tanu is reborn as Sandy’s niece named Tanuja. Rishi and Tanuja meet again after Rishi’s car bangs into Tanuja and Rishi takeTanuja to a hospital. After this encounter, he learns about Tanuja’s name and starts ignoring her. Tanuja still has flashbacks from her past life. Tanuja goes to give an interview in Rishi’s office. But Rishi and Tanuja get caught up in a house on fire. Tanuja suffers major burns on her face and gets her face operated by a doctor.
