Chetna Kaintura is a Hindi television actress. Born in Pune, she belongs to Dehradun, India. Her family consists of her father, mother, and herself. Chetna completed her school studies from Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy and then went on pursuing Master’s in Business Administration from BHCC in Pune.
Her mother is a social worker and works on various disaster-management projects while her father is also engaged in various similar jobs. Speaking about pursuing her career in acting in an interview she says, “During school as well as in college she used to participate regularly in cultural and various extra-curricular activities and that increased her interest in pursuing modeling and acting as a career. Her mother has also been supportive towards her dreams and also her inspiration.
She desires to fulfill her mother’s dream of opening an old age home.” In school, she won various medals in athletics and after graduating she participated in Miss Uttarakhand Contest of 2010 in which she won Miss Talented and award for Miss Body Beautiful. This contest gave her the platform to enter modeling. But residing in Uttarakhand she was not able to pursue full-time modeling so she shifted to Mumbai and soon started walking ramps and doing commercials and endorsements in Mumbai.
Following all of this, she started getting offers for short videos, documentaries, and TV shows. Chetna started her career as an actress on the small screen with the serial ‘Khushiyon Ki Gullak Aashi’ which is aired on Sony Pal. Next, she worked in the very famous detective show ‘
CID’ and a horror show ‘
Aahat’, both telecasted on the channel Sony TV. Following this she got the offer to act in three shows of channel Star Bharat which are ‘Savdhaan’, ‘Shapath’, and ‘
Laut Aao Trisha’. Next, she acted in ‘
Arjun’ and ‘Ishq Kills’, two shows of Star Plus.
She got the chance to work in the lead role in the serial ‘Ye Hai Aashiqui’ aired on UTV Bindass. She also worked under Balaji Telefilms and Bolt Media Ltd. She played the role of Zeenath in the very popular historical show ‘
Jodha Akbar’ of Zee TV. The various other shows she has done includes ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan- Season 2’, ‘
Twist Wala Love’ (as Aisha), ‘Humari Sister Didi’ as Jazz aired on Sony Pal, ‘
Feriha’, and as Diya in ‘Kasam Tere Pyar Ki’ telecasted on Colors TV. She often tells that she is very grateful to the organizer of Miss Uttarakhand because of whom she got the platform to chase her dreams.
