Star Performance

Mahesh Babu is a stylish and smart performer and he does the same in Sarileru Neekevvaru. His comedy, patriotism and action work out well. Vijayashanti has got a good role to showcase. Prakash Raj didn’t get much in his role, except for the dialogues.

The plot is fragile and the director had made it big with the screenplay and Mahesh Babu. Mahesh Babu’s character is slightly over projected and that’s usual for a superstar. Mahesh’s action sequences and dialogues are the treats to his fans. Vijayashanti’s role is good. But, mouthing the dialogues - over-praising the hero looks a bit odd. Prakash Raj’s character should have been designed better. Rashmika is a usual heroine and Sangeetha Krish is an unusual mother. The songs and the BGM by DSP and the visuals by Rathnavelu are the pillars of strength.

What’s There?

  • Mahesh Babu’s presence is the first pillar
  • Vijayashanti’s reentry is the next one
  • The visuals and the music are the rest of the pillars of the film

What’s Not There?

  • Not so new plot with weak characterization
  • Exaggerated scenes

With the Mahesh Babu element, the fans will enjoy the film for sure. But for the general audience... they might feel it as an okayish film.
