Sathyaraj, the head of the family, is 75 years and is living in his ancestral village. His children settled overseas. One day, his family gets a call that Sathyaraj is counting his days due to lung cancer. His grandson, Sai, sets out a trip to India and promises his grandpa that he will stay with him for a few days along with the family. How did the rest of the days go? Did the family understand the values of life and relationship? Watch the film to know the rest.
Sathyaraj has done a neat job and his expressions are good. Sai had done justice to his role. He performed well in the emotional scenes. Sathyaraj and Sai scenes are excellent and they share good chemistry too. Raashi Khanna and Rao Ramesh did their parts well.
The story is not new, but it is appreciable as it comes with the family values and relationship, which we have lost in recent years. The characterization is good, yet some of the characters are designed as selfish people and that doesn’t look good in emotional scenes. Sathyaraj’s role is good in the initial stages and after some point, his role seems to have lost its importance with the incidents that happen in the surrounding. The climax should have been better and it seems a bit preachy in the end.
What’s Not There?
The film showcases the relationship values that are diminishing. The mentality of the people when they are getting old is shown neatly. Everyone will grow old one day and this teaches a lesson for the people, who abandon their parents. However, it is not a harsh lesson, but quite smooth. PRP is definitely a watch worthy film.
