Plot
Thilagavarman is a prisoner, who was sentenced a life-term imprisonment. He comes out in parole after 14 years to see his family. At that time, two politicians are murdered. Inspector Nandini suspects Thilagan and starts inquiring him. Meanwhile, the DSP Nagalingam suspects Nandini to be the murderer, as she was suspended by the influence of those two politicians and returned to her duty. Who murdered the politicians? Why was Thilagan sent to jail? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Jayam Ravi is okay in his role. He appears as a young man and a middle-aged father and his body language shows the difference. Keerthy Suresh is decent in her role. Yet, she should’ve reduced her volume while uttering the dialogue. Anupama has no significant work to do.
Analysis
The story is neat when reading it on the paper. But, the non-linear narrative may not appeal well for all. The present and the past are shown with intercuts. The director has taken cinematic liberty on his hands, particularly in a scene where the protagonist overhears a conversation, when he is not at all in that place. Is that telepathy?! Keerthy Suresh’s character is decent, yet it should have been developed stronger. Though Ravi and Keerthy did their jobs well, they didn’t have enough space to showcase their fullest performances. The songs are okay. BGM is not impressive. The visuals are decent and the editing is good.
