Plot
Rangan has 3 assistants, namely Atharva, Jeeva, and Selva. They are involved in petty thefts. Rangan plans big and involves these three assistants to steal an expensive crown in Kailasam, a village. When the festival season arrives, they enter the village and stay there. They inform the villagers that they have come there to shoot the festival and upload it on YouTube. Finally, they find out that the crown is with Mahendra Varman, the village head. When they enter his house and loot the crown, Mahendra Varma catches them red-handedly. What happens next? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Mahesh, Bala Saravanan, and Sendrayan appear throughout the film and create giggles. Yogi Babu appeared in an extended cameo role and did what was required of him. Iniya is good in the provided role.
Analysis
The story revolves around the ancient crown. The film doesn’t appear as the usual horror-comedy thriller film. However, the screenplay is not impressive and the execution is not up to the mark. Though the stars performed decently, without gripping screenplay and improper execution, the performances didn’t get noticed. Besides this, the dialogues are not catchy to hook the people. The BGM is pretty decent, the visuals are okay, and the editing should have been better.

Thookudurai has a few comedy scenes, but lacks a gripping screenplay and execution. If you want to spend your weekend with an okayish comedy drama, you can try this film.
