Plot
Peter is a fisherman who is forced to go to jail for money for a crime that he didn’t commit. He is accompanied by his brother-in-law, Raayan. For the crime, which he didn’t do, he has been in prison for eight years. Raayan dies in jail while serving the prison term. Peter’s daughter Ruby, now selling fish, approaches a detective agency, Finder, run by Vinoth and Pallavi, criminology students. After completing their course, they set up an agency and started investigating the closed cases to find out the real culprits. Were they able to find the reason behind Peter’s imprisonment? Was Peter set free? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Charle and Sendrayaan delivered a commendable performance. Nizhalgal Ravi shines in the role of the defense lawyer. Vinoth and Dharani did justice to their roles.
Analysis
The script is neat, though it falls in the well-known investigative thriller genre. The screenplay is pretty decent with lots of twists and thrills. The backstories are well-made. However, the execution slips with the repeated flashbacks that show the crime from different angles. Revisiting the same events irks the audience. Some sequences are incomplete, making it to the audience’s guess. The director should be appreciated for moving the script at a brisk pace despite some lagging in the execution. The music composition is average, and the visuals are above average.

Finder is a decent investigative thriller with enough thrills, except for some flaws in the execution. It is a one-time watch!
