Analysis
Following an extremely successful stint with the pen, V Vijayendra Prasad decided to try his hands at direction again. Most of his films are either emotionally endearing or culturally thought-provoking. However, with ‘Rajasingam,’ he decided to make an engaging historical drama.
Backed by an ever-enthusiastic Nagarjuna, Vijayendra Prasad has made a power-packed commercial entertainer. With ‘Rajasingam,’ you get all the vibes that are typically associated with a Rajamouli film. The movie is emotional, entertaining, and above all, full of action.
Baby Annie as the protagonist Mallamma is the star attraction of this film. She is both enchanting and captivating as Mallamma. Nagarjuna as the rebellious Rajanna packs a solid punch, and so does the supporting cast comprising the likes of Sneha, Nassar, Pradeep Rawat, etc. Even Swetha Menon as the antagonist Dorasani does full justice to her role, evoking disgust from the audience for her character.
Yes, the editing could have been tighter, and some of the sequences could have been crisper in terms of emotional engagement. However, the minor glitches aren’t that glaring to distract the audience from the overall experience.
