Naadodigal 2 is a 2020 Tamil drama movie directed and written by Samuthirakani and produced by S Nandagopal. The movie stars Sasikumar, Anjali and Athulya Ravi. The cinematography of the movie is done by NK Ekambaram. The movie is edited by A. L. Ramesh. The music and background scores are given by Justin Prabhakaran.

Plot
The movie starts with the protagonist, Jeeva who is a hardworking and lawful social activist. He lives in an orthodox village and has his friends, Priya, and Paandi with him. Jeeva tries to call up a mob and protest against honor killing as he gets agitated by a video showing the same. This makes the local politicians of the village hold grudges on Jeeva. Meanwhile, Jeeva’s family searches for a beautiful homely girl for him to get married. Jeeva falls in love with Sowmya, one of the marriage proposals, just after seeing her photo sent to his home. They eventually get married, but, soon Jeeva learns about Sowmya that she is in love with someone else and that she got married due to family and societal pressure. This hits Jeeva to the core. But Jeeva decides to send her off to her lover. The rest of the movie narrates how Sowmya meets her lover and how Jeeva combats the society and its orthodox norms about caste and religion.
Star PerformancesÂ
Sasikumar as Jeeva has done an impressive job in the lead role. Anjali as Sengodi is wonderful on screen. Anjali and Sasikumar look fabulous together and have excellent chemistry. The movie is a sequel to its previous part and it's pretty much along the same lines. The movie has a lot of social messages in it. The movie targets communalism, gender discrimination and poverty all in one. This multi-plot play of the movie makes it predictable and bland. Fans of simple yet impactful stories may love the movie. But, for the practical and modern audience, this film may be tedious. The music scores and background music are definitely a catch and it blends well with the frame. The screenplay and introductory narration feel repetitive and boring at times. The comedic value of the movie is satisfactory and an exciting element of the movie.
