Bayama Irukku is yet another horror thriller from the Tamil film industry. Bayama Irukku has the star cast of Kovai Sarala, Santhosh Prathap, Reshmi Menon, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Actor Bharani, Lollu Sabha Jeeva” and “ Jagan.” Bayama Irukku is directed by Jawahar. “ C Sathya” composes the horror tunes for the film. Mahendran is the cinematographer of Bayama Irukku and Vasantham Production bankrolled the project. It is a long-delayed film and the heroine Reshmi Menon is married to Bobby Simha and has become a mother to a kid, now.

Hero Santhosh Prathap starts his journey to Sri Lanka to bring back his mother-in-law. On his way, he finds the Sri Lankan military killing the innocent people. Frustrated Santhosh fights with a few army men and saves four people. Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Bharani, Jeeva and Jagan are the four people. Later, they became good friends and Santhosh takes them to his home. After they visit Santhosh’s house, they feel something abnormal. Some supernatural things happen and in a particular stage, the four friends suspect Santhosh to be a ghost. Is Santhosh a ghost? What happens to the four friends? Watch the film in theaters.

Star Performance

Although there is a huge star cast, Naan Kadavul Rajendran’s performance is unique and he gets the appreciation from entire audiences.

Jawahar has chosen a routine formula of the Tamil films. Although we have witnessed a lot of horror films, this film has a different location and for this aspect, we should appreciate the director. The location makes the people believe that there is a ghost in reality. Although the film was shot a couple of years ago, due to the delayed release, it didn’t create any good impression.

What’s There?

  • Sathya and Mahendran are the real heroes; Sathya’s music and Mahendran’s cinematography is just stunning
  • The shooting location is perfect for a horror thriller
  • Naan Kadavul Rajendran handles the comedy singlehandedly
  • The director has mixed the horror and comedy evenly

What’s Not There?

  • Not a unique script
  • Repeated horror and comedy scenes from various films is a boredom

If the film had released at the right time, it would have impressed the audiences. Yet, it is not a second-rate movie and could be watched once.
