Plot

The story of “Falimy” revolves around a middle-class family from Thiruvananthapuram. The family consists of five members: Chandran, his wife Rema, their two sons, Anoop and Abhijith, and Chandran's father, Janardhanan. The family goes on a trip to Varanasi to fulfill the desire of Janardhanan (who, however, wants to go alone). On the trip, they come across various events that cause fights and ego clashes between them, and because of this, the older man ( Janardhanan) gets frustrated and suddenly goes missing, which results in tension and chaos among the family members.

Star performance

Like his other movies, Basil Joseph did a great job. His acting skills are phenomenal. Sandeep looked perfect in his role as a younger brother; he used his screen space very well and was entertaining. Manju Pillai beautifully plays a mother in a typical middle-class houses, always stuck between family clashes. Meenaraj Raghvan, Jagdish, and others looked perfect in their characters.

Analysis

“Falimy” successfully shows the accurate picture of an Indian middle-class family in a comic way. Everyone did a great job. Director Nitish Sahadev did a great job; after a long time, his movie was released in theaters. The first half of the movie is excellent, but the second half (the trip to Varanasi) seems to be boring; it feels like the story is exaggerated unnecessarily. The concept of the movie is based on problems in an Indian middle-class family, conflicts in the family because of the generation gap between the family members, ego clashes, etc., which are reflected through this movie beautifully, which makes it different from other movies based on the same concept.
