Plot

The story revolves around Dennis who is on a flight journey from Bangkok to Kerela where he ends up meeting “Riti” a girl who reminds him of his past love, this results in him remembering his forgotten memories.

The story then explores the life changes Dennis now has to face from that one incident of meeting Riti on the flight.

The entire cast of the film did a great job of portraying their characters.

Analysis

The movie introduces us to four people Dennis, Sam, Sameer and Shanavas who are four college friends. We get to know that Dennis is in relationship with Ann Mariya and Sam is in a relationship with Rasiya, while Dennis is not able to sustain his relationship with Ann and ends up breaking up with her, Sam can move forward with his relationship and is later married to Rasiya.

Fast forward to future Dennis has now become a business consultant and during his flight to Kerela meets Riti Satyanarayan who deeply resembles his long lost love Ann, the movie then follows up with Dennis trying to get close to Riti surprised by her immense similarity with Ann.

What's There?

There is enough screen time for character development.
The film also contains some comedy scenes.

What's Not There?

The film lacks good writing in terms of dialogue.
The direction in the film is terrible.

Verdict

The film "Dooram" is an average Malayalam film with good acting from Maqbool Salmaan but the direction and dialogues fail to deliver the best of the story.

The side characters almost have nothing to contribute to the main plot and the poor narration makes the film boring quickly.

Overall “Dooram” is a film which fails to convey what it might have intended to. It fails to deliver the message due to poor direction and average performance.
