came out of her glamour image and acted as a stern cop. So naturally there would be lot of expectations from the fans regarding Veera Ranachandi. Now let’s see whether the movie lives up to the expectations.
Plot
Ragini Dwivedi is a gangster and she happens to go to a village. Here then she is wrongly regarded as the daughter of the local village head, who was lost several years ago. Here she gets lot of love and this makes her not to go away from the village; she decides to take care of their problems.
Star Performances
Ragini Dwivedi has done her best in the movie;she has all that it requires for a woman action star. But the script doesn’t help her in any way. She is one actress who is trying to break the image of Sandalwood heroines doing just run-of-the-mill roles. Her earlier venture Ragini Dwivedi was also a film that proved to be showing her ability in action films.
Analysis
Directed by Anand P Raju, the plot of the movie is the same tried and tested one. There are unwanted sequences in the movie. The family sentiment scenes are also those that are mostly seen in other Kannada movies.
What’s there?
• Ragini had taken up some bold stunts in the movie.
• The cinematography is quite good in Veera Ranachandi.
What’s not there?
• The script could have been developed better to prove a fodder to the actress’ acting talent.
• The humour element doesn’t work for the movie.
• There are several characters filled in the movie.
• More care could have been taken for the songs and BGM.
• The editing of the movie could have been better.
Verdict
The movie could have been executed better so that it proves to be a good comeback for Ragini Dwivedi.
