Kurukshetra” is directed by Naganna. Muniratna produced the film. Kurukshetra is the 50th film of Challenging Star, Darshan Thoogudeep. The star cast has Darshan, V Ravichandran, Arjun Sarja, “ Sneha,” “ Ambareesh,” Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Nikhil Kumar, Meghna Raj, P Ravishankar, Sonu Sood, “ Haripriya,” Ravishankar Gowda, Remya Nambeesan and Dinakar Thoogudeepa. Harikrishna composes the music. Jayanan Vincent is the cinematographer and Jo Ni Harsha is the editor.

Most of the historical movies that have Mahabharata as the base hadn’t shown the story from Duryodhana’s point of view. This film is from the vision of Duryodhana and his friendship with Karna. Duryodhana’s trust in Karna is also highlighted. The film also has Draupadi’s vow, after getting shamed at Duryodhana’s court.

Star Performance

Darshan’s performance is stunning and we couldn’t avoid the excellence of Arjun too. Sneha has got a meaty role as Draupadi and she did justice to the role. Other than these stars, we have Ravichandran as Krishna and Ravishankar as Shakuni. Both of them receive appreciations from the audience.

Although the story couldn’t be analyzed as it is taken from Mahabharata, the screenplay could be. Naganna has executed the scenes well with a decent screenplay. The film has a huge star cast. Popular stars from all the leading film industries is an added advantage for the film to reach the pan-Indian audience. The film released in 3D. But, the quality is not up to the mark. The BGM and the cinematography are okayish.

What’s There?

  • Performances of the stars are excellent
  • Screenplay is good

What’s Not There?

  • 3D quality is not impressive

Kurukshetra comes with a good star cast and outstanding performances. If you expect some technically sound film with the latest 3D technology, then you won’t be delighted. For Darshan fans, it’s a must-watch film!
