Darshan and Kiccha Sudeep became the first Sandalwood actors who got a name in Forbes’ Top 100 Celebrities of India. While Sudeep got 62nd place Darshan got 65th place. So going by this their salary is also something to reckon with.

Kannada heroines had recently vented that they are given a low salary in Sandalwood. A famous Kannada actress, after a long silence, had also opened up that the KFI is biased in terms of the salary of male and female leads.

With the success of the flick, Krantiveera Sangoli Rayanna in 2012 Darshan was touted to be the most bankable star. The film was made at a whopping budget and the makers of his next films were also considering o produce films of him in a big budget. It was also said that producers very rarely make loss on a Darshan’s film. It is learnt that he got 4.5 crore to 5.5 crores after the success of the film.

Reportedly, Puneeth Rajkumar gets more than 5 crores per film. He also was learned to get a whopping amount for Kannada Kotyadhipathi.

Yash, who is currently riding high in the success of Santhu Straight Forward, gets more than 4 crores per film.

Golden Star Ganesh, who climbed the ladder of success with Mungaru Male, is learned to get more than 1.5 crores per film.

So whatever the lead heroes earn it would be good if the lead heroines are also paid, considering the fact that there is a complaint that Kannada actresses are paid only 5 percent of what the heroes are paid.
