Plot
A young girl is murdered, and her body is hidden in a pillar of a building under construction in Chennai. The police find out that the victim is the daughter of a maid who works in an apartment. A woman SI helps the Inspector in dealing with this case. Why was she murdered? Who murdered her? The rest of the story explores these.
Star Performance
Rajkumar played the Inspector’s role. He fits well in the role. His investigation style and mannerism are quite good. Rachitha is really a surprise pack. We wouldn’t have expected her in such a role. She did her job meticulously. Abi Nakshatra did her part well as an innocent girl. Ananth Nag has nothing significant to do.
Analysis
The murder mysteries and whodunit stories need a gripping screenplay and fine execution. These two are present in this movie. The flashback scene for the Inspector is believable. The actors have done their part well and the characters are finely designed. However, some scenes are overdramatic. The director meant to say how women should be careful with men of all ages. Besides speaking about physical harassment, the director wanted to deliver a message about relationships too. The visuals are quite decent, and the BGM is fine. The production values are not completely satisfying.

Xtreme is a decent thriller, which would have reached a wider audience if the production values had been high and also if some dramatic scenes had been avoided.
