Plot
Sheru, being a junior artist trying to survive through unnecessary means by doing odd jobs and making connections with gangsters, remains very optimistic about making big in Bollywood. Tiku marries Sheru, to move to Mumbai and chase her dreams to be a Bollywood star. Will they be able to make it in Bollywood? Will their dream of becoming a Bollywood star come true? And how they both deal with their failures, and setbacks and evolve as a married couple.
Star performance
Nawazuddin Siddiqui gives a good performance as Sheru. He captures desperation very well and hopes to be a star in the film industry. His comic timing and emotional scenes are just correct timing.
This is Avneet Kaur's first lead role, she beautifully played the role of Tiku. She showcases a young girl with big dreams to a vulnerable woman who failed in her dreams.
Analysis
Tiku Weds Sheru is a satirical romantic comedy film with a refreshing take on the reality of the Bollywood industry. While the film has its shortcomings in its narration and storytelling. The performances and the attempt to show a satirical style of approach to Bollywood's darker side are praise-worthy. But the film has a weak plot and not perfect execution. Also the writing and screenplay lack clarity. And also the chemistry between both characters was lacking partly due to a very huge age gap.
The film explores hope, resilience and ambition to pursue their dreams against the odds. It showcases the realities of all struggling artists in the Mumbai film industry. Their relationship of marriage evolves between Tiku and Sheru in the film. The film concept is unique but the execution isn't done properly. The screenplay fails to engage, some moments feel forced. However, the film's lead actors portray very strong characters with realistic displays of the struggles faced in the entertainment industry.

Overall the performances of the leads were appreciated but it failed with inconsistent writing and direction. The film's realistic and dramatic ending stands out. It is a decent one-time watch for those interested in satirical films and interested to know the reality of the entertainment industry.
