Plot
Shastri Ji is a retired math teacher. Shastri Ji is sixty-years-old. He doesn’t have any work or job to earn money. He lives with his only son named Nilesh, and Nilesh’s wife, Madhu. They all live in a 30 year old house. Shastri Ji becomes quite overwhelmed from time to time when he remembers his late wife. Shastri Ji also shares a great bond with one of his students named Aayush.
Ayush lead a monotonous life. Parul is his girlfriend. They are soon going to marry. Nilesh’s wife doesn’t want to live with Shastri Ji. She wants to move to another house and live away from Shastri Ji. However, Ayush and Shastri ji’s life takes an unexpected turn when they both get diagnosed with cancer. They went to a local check-up. This diagnosis was a mistake. From this point, their lives take many unexpected turns involving suicide attempt and a bank fraud.
Star Performance
Rajesh Sharma fit in Shastri Ji’s role as he delivered it with authenticity. Another important character in the movie is Aayush. Samarpan Singh played Aayush’s role in the film. Samarpan’s acting was energetic and enjoyable. His presence made the storyline more fun. The supporting cast of the film includes Sukhdev Barnala and Varsha Rekhate. They delivered impressive performances.
Analysis
The film is shot in Punjab. The script of the film is pretty interesting. The execution is also brilliant. The core of the movie is its humour. However, the filmmakers failed to create the humorous situations. The movie instead turned out to be a tragic show. The movie was also emotional at some points, which added depth to the film.
The cinematography of the film is actually great. It gives a glimpse into the Indian household. The soundtracks used in the movie are great, too. It complemented the script very well. The locations used are also awe-inspiring.
