Manoj Sharma is a veteran film director, writer, and editor of the Hindi and Bhojpuri film industry. He was born on 19th October 1973 at Khurja, district Bulandshehar, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has directed nearly thousand music videos and over 150 music albums. He is also known for directing many super hit Albums including ‘agar tum mil jao’, ‘tum to tehare pardesi’, and ‘pardesiya re’, As a movie director, he is famous for the movie Bin Phere Free Me Tere, Sparsh-the touch, and Swaha: Life Beyond Superstition. Manoj Sharma has done his schooling from Khurja city of Uttar Pradesh. Then he took admission in BA, but he managed to study till 1st year only and then he went to Delhi for learning some trading skills from his brother-in-law. Then he went to Mumbai for working in a textile factory.
In his free time, he uses to watch the film shootings and very soon it became his top interest. And thus, in the city of dreams, a new dream was born. He decided to become an actor, and his brother-in-law supported him on a condition that he has only three months to show his best. Manoj had started giving many auditions but rejected every time, so he decided to give up on acting and try any other stream of film making. Manoj started assisting various directors. As an independent film director, his first film was Sparsh-The Touch (2005). And his second movie was the Bhojpuri movie Mai Ka Bitwa (2008). He has also directed many super hit Albums such as ‘Agar tum mil jao’, ‘Tum to tehare pardesi’ and ‘pardesiya re’. He had also directed many comedy videos with comedian Raju Shrivastav.
As a film director and script writer, he is noted for his movies Sparsh-the touch, Swaha, Mai ka bitwa and Bin Phere Free Me Tere. He had faced a big controversy for the movie Swaha, which was banned by the Censor Board of India because they perceived it as the denigration of Hinduism.
