Pratap Chandra Raut has worked as a cinematographer on several projects. He was the director of Photography for the films Baby and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, released in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
He provided his cinematography skills for the short film Paika Bidroha released in 2020. He was the filmmaker of the films Daman, Saatam Aatham, and Bal Naren released in 2022. He worked in the video editing department alongside cinematography for the films Ghara, Nava Durga Stotram, and Naari in 2022. He did the same for the films Cycle, Mu Kanccha Laanka Nua Thikana Ku, Prithvi Manthan, Sita Pherila, and Aigiri Nandini in 2021. For films, Malhara and Mu Paradesi Chadhei as a filmmaker in 2021 and 2020.
