Ajit Parab

Ajit Parab is an Indian music director, composer, playback singer and an actor. He was born on March 10, 1975, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is well known for ‘De Dhakka,’ a Marathi soundtrack. Ajit Parab developed interests towards singing when he was very young. He did his schooling from D.B Kulkarni School. He used to take part in music competitions held in his school and won many prizes too. He completed his college studies at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga, Mumbai (Mumbai University). When he was in college he decided to work in the music industry and started to pursue his dream. He started his career in 2005 when he worked as a playback singer for the movie “Viruddh… Family Comes First,” directed by Mahesh Manjrekar starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, and John Abraham. He then composed for the movie “Matichya Chuli,” directed by Atul Kale and Sudesh Manjrekar, starring Sudhir Joshi, Vandana Gupta, and Anand Abhyankar. He continued working as a music composer in various movies such as ”Saade Maade Teen,” “De Dhakka” directed by Atul Kale and Sudesh Manjrekar, starring Makarand Anaspure, Mukta Barve, and Abhijeet Deshpande, “Be dune sade Chaar,” and many more. In 2010, he worked as a music composer in “City of Gold-Mumbai 1982: Ek Ankahee Kahani.” This movie was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, starring Sachin Khedekar, Seema Biswas, and Ankush Chaundhari. Ajit Parab has composed many songs in his career. He composed songs in languages such as Hindi and Marathi. “Bhooli Bisri Yaadon Mai” (2005), “Maharathra Geet,” “Aayna Ka Bayna,”, “Baaje Dhol,” “Jivanat Tu Daru Nakoos,” “Haath De Javad Ye,” “Stone Paper Scissor,” “Balle Balle,” and many more. He also works as an actor in Marathi Drama film “Natsamrat.” The movie was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, starring Nana Patekar, Medha Manjrekar, Sunil Barve, Ajit Parab, Neha Pendse as lead roles, while Jitendra Joshi, Sridhar Limaye, Sandeep Patha, Pooja Sawant, and much more worked as a supporting artist in the movie. The movie was based on the story of a retired actor who feels unwanted by his kids and suffered from alienation. Ajit Parab won Best Music Score Award presented by Silver Awards for his composition in Aayna Ka Bayna. He is working as a composer for a movie “Ascharya Fuck It.” The movie is directed by Samit Kakkad, starring Priyanka Bose, Vaibhav Raaj Gupta, Ankit Raaj, and will be released by the end of 2018.

Sameer Phaterpekar is an Indian music director and a composer. The Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner has worked in over fifty movies and delivered some background score. His thirty-five-year long career has been a success with collaborations with musicians like R.D Burman, Rajesh Roshan, Kalyanji Adandji, etc. His compositions include hits like Jhumma-Chumma, Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai, and Hawa Hawaii. He took birth in Mumbai, Maharashtra. To Sameer background music is similar to a character of a movie, without it, it cannot survive. And this ideology has made him one of the best musicians in the film industry. He took birth in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He started his career in 1983 by delivering background music for movies in the Marathi Film industry. He has worked in over fifty movies and delivered some background score. He gave music not only for Hindi and Marathi films but Punjabi and Telugu too. In 2007, he rendered music for Oh My Friend Ganesha in the kid’s oriented movies; he composed the title track. The 2005 Best Marathi Feature Film, Dombivali Fast, directed by Nishikant Kamat had music by Sameer Phaterpekar. From John Abraham to Ritesh Dekhmukh films, his music is everywhere. In 2011, he delivered music in Filmfare winner movie, Force. He also composed music for Ajay Devgan in Drishyam in 2015; all blockbusters had Nishikant Kamath as the director. In 2017, he rendered music for Madaari, the Irfan Khan starrer became a hit and got critically acclaimed. In the year 2010, he Sameer received the Sahyadri Award Best Background Score for Ringa Ring. His milestones include his Dada Saheb Phalke Award for Best Background Score in 2015 for the Marathi movie Lai Bhaari. Sameer has not yet stopped and he continues to deliver music to the Indian Film Industry.
