Plot
Gayathri Bhalla is the matriarch of the family. Harish Bhalla is her husband and they have four children. All of a sudden, Gayathri dies. Tara Bhalla, a lawyer by profession, is their daughter. Tara parties with her friends to celebrate her first success. As she was at the party, she didn’t pick up the call from her mother’s mobile number and also ignored the text messages. When she wakes up in the morning, she sees missed calls from her father and finally knows that her mother is no more. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Star Performance
As usual, Amitabh Bachchan is perfect in his role. The rest of the cast are okay with the given roles.
Analysis
The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, has a message in it, amid the comedy-drama. When a person is no more, what will be the reaction by others is shown in this Vikas’ venture. Though the children looked attached to their family once, they didn’t show up after their mother’s death. One of the sons lands from the US, and he is shown as a workaholic, as he is on calls even when he carries his mother’s mortal remains on his shoulder along with his family. One of their sons, Nakul, a trekking enthusiast, comes to know about his mother’s death much later than the rest of the children. Harish, Gayathri’s husband, does everything as his friend suggests, even without giving a second thought. Every character is shown in detail, including how they react. The cinematography is neat and the editing needs to be sharp, a bit.

Verdict
Though some performances are watch-worthy, we feel that the film has not reached its mark, as the comedy portions are not much impressive. However, making a comedy film based on death is not as easy as we think. Just for the effort, the film is watchable once!
