Krishanu Moitra

Krishanu Moitra is a freelance Audio Engineer and Sound Designer based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, and raised in New Delhi. From an early age, Krishanu was passionate about learning music and studied Drums at Performers Collective School of Music, New Delhi. Later, he completed his Diploma in Sound Engineering from SoundideaZ Academy, Mumbai in 2019.

He also holds a certificate in Location Sound Recording from Udemy. Although his mother tongue is Bengali, he has working proficiency in Hindi and English language as well. Krishanu is specialised in Film Post Production and his expertise lies in Recording, Music Mixing, Music Mastering, Ad Film Mixing, Sound Designing, and Sound Editing.

Krishanu has been working in the music industry for more than four years. Since 2020, he has worked as a Sound and Recording engineer in various music studios in Mumbai, such as Songbird Studio, Acoustriks Studio, Jam8 Studio, QLAB Digital Post, etc. He has been associated with multiple projects ranging from Feature Films, Web Series, Ad Films, and Music. He has also assisted in the dubbing and re-recording sessions of popular films and web series such as Gulabo Sitabo, A Thursday, Jalsa, Sharmaji Namkeen, Rudra: The Edge The Edge is an informational tv show aired on the >> Read More... of Darkness (Web Series), TVF Bachelors Season 3 (Web Series), etc.

Krishanu’s talent has also received global recognition, and his work has been honored with various international awards. This year, the month of June was particularly special for him as he received four prestigious international awards, including the ‘Black Swan International Film Festival Award,’ ‘Gangtok International Film Festival Award,’ ‘Luis Bunuel Memorial Award’ and ‘Virgin Spring Cinefest Award’ for ‘Best Sound Designing’ for the movie ‘A Week to Time Travel.’
