Top 10 South Actors Who Rejected Bollywood Movies

Top 10 South Actors Who Rejected Bollywood Movies Hindi Article

Bollywood would never be able to produce films with the scope of South Indian productions, which have their specific following. The popularity of regional cinema, particularly South Indian films, has greatly expanded since the introduction of OTTs. More non-Hindi/non-English language content is now accessible thanks to subtitles. A variety of South Indian performers, including Samantha Akkineni, Mime Gopi, Uday Mahesh, Azhagam Perumal, and Devadarshini, appeared in the recently released web series Family Man 2. Although the language barrier appears to be reduced, some well-known actors from the South have turned down roles in these blockbuster Bollywood movies.

1. Anushka Shetty

Anushka Shetty, one of the most well-liked actresses in the South, rose to fame with SS Rajamouli's Baahubali. In 2011, she turned down Rohit Shetty's Singham. The position that ultimately went to Kajal Aggarwal was offered to her. Due to her busy schedule, she turned down a couple more Hindi films, including Ittefaq.

2. Mahesh Babu

Telugu cinema has been greatly influenced by Mahesh Babu. Even though he enjoys popularity abroad, he has voluntarily declined to appear in Bollywood movies. He seems to appreciate staying close to his roots.

3. Fahadh Faasil

Faasil also claimed that he has received offers from the Bollywood industry. He indicated he might take on a job when he is comfortable enough to join the sector. He thinks Malayalam movies are the only reason he gets excellent roles, and he will always be grateful to Mollywood for that.

4. Nayanthara

Do you recall the Chennai Express song "One to Three Four Get on the Dance Floor"? Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara could have appeared together on film, but for reasons best known to herself, Nayanthara declined the invitation. Later in the song, Priyamani, an actress from The Family Man, was seen shaking her leg.

5. Allu Arjun

If rumors are to be believed, one of the movies that Allu Arjun was given was Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaam. Allu Arjun was considered for the role because the movie was going to be released in numerous languages. According to rumors, he turned down the movie for reasons he knows best. Salman Khan was then contacted when Hrithik Roshan received the film's offer. 83, starring Ranveer Singh, was also offered to Allu Arjun, but he declined the project.

6. Nivin Pauly

Nivin Pauly, a Malayali actor, had insisted that he wouldn't feel comfortable acting in Tamil, Telugu, or Hindi movies, but he also added that he would like to push himself by doing so. According to rumors, Pauly was going to work on a movie with Anurag Kashyap. When the rumors began to spread, his photo with the director quickly became popular on social media. Later, there was no change, though. If rumors are to be believed, Vicky Kaushal's Manmarziyaan part was given to him. Pauly was also the first choice for Chhichhore, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput. He once claimed that Kayamkulam Kochunn came before his Bollywood debut.

7. Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna was referred to as India's national crush. After gaining influence, she was given the chance to star alongside Shahid Kapoor in the remake of the movie Jersey. She supposedly turned down the movies because she didn't think she was suitable for them. She so chose to only work on commercial movies.

8. Yash

Ascended to the heights of well-deserved fame following KGF. He has received the role of Laal Kaptaan ever since that movie's debut. Saif Ali Khan received the movie after Yash declined the offer.

9. Darshan

The antagonistic part in the third Dabangg movie was offered to the Kannada actor. However, because he declined the role, the movie was eventually offered to actor Sudeep.

10. Puneeth Rajkumar

Puneeth Rajkumar, who primarily appears in Kannada movies, was also offered the role of Bajrangi Bhaijaan but turned it down since he didn't like the script. Writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, the father of renowned director SS Rajamouli, revealed that producer Venkatesh had approached all of them about the idea.
