Plot
Mira is a school-goer who lives with her parents. Her mother, Anila, is overprotective. Her father comes around occasionally. Mira starts developing feelings for her classmate, Srinivas. When Anila comes to know about this, when she overhears Mira talking with Srinivas over the phone, she warns Mira to just be friends with him and not more than that. But they both continue to share romantic feelings. Soon, Srinivas starts visiting Mira at her house quite often and also shares a good rapport with Anila. Mira realizes that Srinivas pays more attention to her mother than her. The rest of the story is about how Mira faces her life.
Star Performance
The performances of the leads are excellent. All of them just lived in the given roles.
Analysis
The film speaks about how adolescents enter into a relationship and what feeling they develop and how their decisions are made. The characters are perfectly penned and proper stars are engaged. Though the scenes are handled properly, some are forcedly inserted, especially, when a teacher speaks about the dressing sense of the girls. The relationship between Anila and Mira is neatly executed, especially in the pre-climax scenes. Confrontation scenes in the climax are not convincing and they look unpleasant. The feelings of an adolescent girl are narrated from her point of view and some scenes may make the girls connect them to their feelings. The visuals and editing are decent. However, the pace could’ve been better.
