Plot
The story is about a contract killer "Babu Bihari" in Uttar Pradesh, who lives a lonely and straightforward life despite his criminal activities and is living in a remote location.
Things change when he gets assigned a target by Jiji who is a ruthless and famous politician but during this mission his life changes as he meets a young woman named Phulwa and things start to take a shift for him.
Star Performance
The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui who portrays the role of Babu Bihari and is fantastic at doing his job we will see throughout the scenes how he describes a serial killer and his emotions during the harsh decisions he makes.
Bidita Bag portrayed Phulwa and the viewers enjoy the chemistry of Babu and Phulwa throughout the movie.
Analysis
The film starts as we get to see the setting of Uttar Pradesh and an introduction of our protagonist Babu Bihari who is a contract killer and works for average sum of money. Babu is famous for his straightforward approach on the kills he does and the way he makes his crime scene completely clean without leaving a trace behind makes him excellent at his job.
During one of his kills he is seen by a woman named Phulwa, but during an investigation Phulwa refused to identify Babu, confused and curious by her response Babu visits her where he learns that the guy he killed that night was brother of two other people who had raped Phulwa.
Learning about this incident, Babu sets out to murder both brothers and starts to live with Phulwa, but this change in his lifestyle ruins his relationship with the politician Jiji as the two brothers he killed in rage were her important alliance for upcoming elections.
During this time of turmoil, Babu is offered by another man to kill the three loyal men of Jiji After his successful first kill, Babu discovers that there is another man, Banke who, is offered the same contract as he was, and they both decide to play a game where whoever scores fewer kills leaves the profession of contract killing but when Babu is going for his second kill he is taken under custody by police, but is rescued by Banke.
Babu and Banke then join forces and decide to go for the final kill together but ends up in chaos. Later we see in the aftermath that Babu wakes up from coma and tries to learn about what happened while he was in the Coma, to which he finds out that Phulwa and Banke were having an affair – enraged from it he kills Banke and Phulwa in front of their Child. After which We see Babu raising the baby away from crime but one day discovers a page in his notebook which the child had drawn a family, as he turns around to see the child, he sees him come at him with a gun and a loud bang is heard which marks the end of the film.

The film “Babumoshai Bandookbaaz” is a raw and brutal film set in UP, The locations and situations are authentic and the direction ensures that the main cast stays involved.
Overall Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is a fantastic piece of work. If you are a Nawazuddin Siddiqui fan, then you should watch this and this movie won’t leave you disappointed.
